Yesterday was a pretty good day.
I woke up in a good mood. I watched Glee and 90210 on my laptop. I had a shower. then I cleaned the place. I lit a couple delicious scented candles, it was nice. I went on the laptop and MSNed for an hour or so, and then I was just going to go read some Steinbeck and Fran offered to come over. So that's what she did.
When she got here I made apple crisp. Well, we did it together. It filled the apartment with the most delicious smell. And despite the fact that neither of us believed it would actually turn out, he turned out amazing!
Then we dragged my mattress out to the livingroom and watched all the Neverending Story movies. The third one was terrible but watching the first 2 was like taking a walk down memory lane. How I loved those movies when I was a kid. I think every kid loves them.
While we watched the movies we ate dill pickle chips. So much that I still feel a little sick from them. We drank a lot of coke. We made fun of the movies. It was just like old times!
I guess lately I've been so consumed with worry over my impending life changes. This baby is going to change everything. It is pretty much all I ever think about. Mike and I spend more time together now than we ever did before, because I'm pregnant I guess, and because I'm off work, and he's off work an awful lot as well. It's alright, I do enjoy spending time with him. But sometimes a little escape is nice. So I go to mom's and that's always fun, I love spending time with my mom (is that because I'm pregnant, too? I am a lot more grateful for her than I used to be..)
It was nice to spend some time with a friend and not think about the things that I always think about.
Must remember even after I have the baby that it is essential to do things that make you happy every once in a while. That's probably why I woke up in such a good mood this morning, too.
And Melitta coffee. It's the best coffee I've ever tasted.

Birthday Canundrum
Mike's birthday is in 14 days.
2 weeks.
I am a little strapped for cash (a little? I mean a LOT) and I want to make his birthday special because he really, really made mine awesome. I don't know what to do...
I wanted so badly to get him Leafs tickets. They are 200 freaking bucks. I can't justify spending that right now, when I don't know when I will have money again or where it might be coming from...
I don't even wanna fork over the cash for my antidepressants, and those are pretty essential!
What to do what to do what to do........
Help!

I don't know how anyone manages to glow.
UGH.
Here are some of the not-so-glowing-and-beautiful-and-full-of-life realities of being pregnant.
- Last night I tried to hold in a fart (or toot) while watching Rambo 3 with Mike. I couldn't do it, but I was pretty sure I could let it out without any noise. Which I did. But it smelled really really bad and had to pick up the ferret really fast and blame it on him. Mike played along but we both know the truth.
- I refuse to wear anything without stretch. I never thought I'd see the day.
- I can eat an ENTIRE big bag of dill pickle chips without stopping to breathe.
- When I lift my shirt up and spread tummy butter all over my expanding gut, I look over at Mike and I can tell he's a little grossed out by the whole thing. The whole tummy butter thing.
- I can't poop.
- I counted the tiny pimples on my forehead today and the grand total was 21.
- Neck pimples.
- I got up to pee 7 times last night. New record.
- Mike watched Iron Man this morning and I lost my effing mind because it was too goddamn early for frigging IRON MAN! Now he's a little upset with me. Whatever. It is too early. The movie is garbage anyway,a nd he's seen it already. Translation: I am very irritable.
